Given Zero 7’s much anticipated and rather uncelebrated release in late September, I offer this song as a prime example of the sound the band should be zero-ing in on.
Moving well far beyond downtempo electronica, Yeah Ghost assumes a folk-pop sensibility with mood-swings of modern soul and ambient instrumentals. That’s some foul forplay.
is a broad based music discovery vehicle for widely heard and unheard tracks. While the music selection is mood inspired, the accompanying commentary, which boasts no expertise, aims to identify some of the outstanding features of the tracks (in addition to the seemingly useless and random discussion of anything from pop culture to high-end denim).
