Sunday started with a bit of coffee, and a bit of this.

Sinitus Tempo - Lovely Start (Left-Click)
Part 2 of Forplay’s music from down under series
I have never liked the adjective ‘rad’ - not much in life is radical, let alone radical enough to abbreviate for coolness. But, I have to respect Sydney beatmaker, Flume, for letting his t-shirt speak for his music.
Sounds Like: something off a Ministry of Sound - Chilled compilation

Forplay is on vacation
Too early in the night to post this song, but too late in the week to not.

Long Arm - The Waterfall Inside Me (Left-Click)

Similar to this track - no words, all music.

This original post was meant to introduce a bizzarre new categorization I have seen floating around iTunes playlists-‘New Hippie’ - which really just sounds like alternative to me.
However, rockin’ this track trumps my desire to discuss the absurdity of new categorization with uninventive nomenclature.

Radio Citizen - The Hop (feat Bajka) (Left-Click)

Some might say that reproduction of the past signals the imminent decline of a civilization. In a world where Lady Gaga and Drake are regarded as artists, and where cinema is simply iterations of the original (think; Toy Story 3, Shrek the IVth, A-Team), you can’t help but wonder about the condition of originality, and the prospect of progress in the arts.
But just when you start to see your condensing glass of Old Fashioned as half empty - you may stumble upon something like Akale Wube. I like to think of the Parisian quintet as the Robin Hoods of music - stealing from the past and giving to the future - the idea here being to fuse old-school Ethiopian groove tunes with elements of modern music to make it all more relevant.
The tracks I have bought so far from the album are awesome. The tunes have a sensational way of sparking the buzz of summer, while keepin’ the chill of the moment close.
That’s all I got. au revoir.
